Artery, Recurrent Meningeal

The recurrent meningeal artery originates from the ophthalmic artery and supplies the dura of the anterior cranial fossa.

This left ICA injection DSA demonstrates a complete occlusion of the left supraclinoid ICA and a recurrent middle meningeal artery (yellow arrow) originating from the left ophthalmic artery (red arrow). The parietal branch of the MMA originated from normal anatomy (not shown). This patient was diagnosed with moyamoya disease.
